Najd Makes Her Return To King Of Fighters | KOF XV DLC Trailer

The purveyor of revenge and retribution, the heroine of the shadows Najd returns to King of Fighters Xv as a part of season 2's DLC roadmap. Imbued with the art of Umbrakinesis, Najd is capable of wielding shadows to her will. She follows the releases of Shingo Yabuki, Kim Kaphwan, Sylvie Paula Paula, and Goentiz (a freebie addition) earlier this year.

Najd debuted in King of Fighters XIV as part of a character design contest (created by artist Mashael Al-Barrak) hosted between SNK and Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's "MiSK" foundation. Inquisitive and educated at a young age in Saudi Arabia, Najd knew very little about the outside world. She partakes in the King of Fighters tournament to put her skills to the test.

A defensive-style fighter in KOF XIV, some of the tweaks to Najd's play style makes use of her Umbra powers, though her counter attacks from the previous game appear to be gone. She has a new Climax Super, along with a new mid-air Climax attack, so this has strong implications in her juggle potential.

Like Kim, she has a strong sense of justice, fighting crime in the shadows while balancing life during the day as a college student. As the interactions indicate, while they both have a vision of justice and virtue, Kim seems to be at odds with Najd's methods hiding her actions from sight. She also has conversations with Elisabeth Blanctorche and Kukri.

There isn't an official release date, but she is scheduled to be released during the summer. King of Fighters XV is currently available for the PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
