"Calling all Adepts! It's time to put your skills and spells to the test against the forces of darkness!"

Subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will be able to play the renowned RPG series, Golden Sun and its sequel Golden Sun: The Lost Age. They will be making their way to the Game Boy Advance catalog January 16th. 

Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age were originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In Golden Sun, young heroes Isaac, Garet, Ivan, and Mia embark on a quest to prevent the ancient power of alchemy from being unleashed on the world of Weyard. In the direct sequel, The Lost Age, you play as the antagonist from the first game, Felix,  out to prove that Alchemy would not be the world's destruction, but a tool that can SAVE it! 

Developed by Hiroyuki Takahashi (known for his work with Yoshitaka Tamaki on the Shining series and Dragon Quest), the Golden Sun games have been widely regarded as some of the greatest JRPGs, highly praised for its battle system, story, and the visuals, which even by Game Boy Advance standards, were considered progressive and revolutionary. A third entry, Dark Dawn, was released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS and takes place 30 years after the events of the first two games.
