Stage 3 kicked off with a bang last week. Boston managed to win both of their games putting them tied for 4th place with their rivals the Philadelphia Fusion on the season total and 3rd place so far in the Stage 3 rankings.

The once "unbeatable" team of Seoul Dynasty has been slowly making their decent down while the NYXL has been showing that they are the most dominate team in the league and the Dragons showing that, yes they have some issues to work out, but they are here to play some games. They didn't win any of their games, but they are here to play.

Dallas is still finding their place with their new roster and the fact that their main tank player, OGE, is on a 4 game suspension, they still working it out. Mickie being moved to the main tank slot and Seagull moved to off tank, its starting to slowly come together for them.

And we need to talk about the Los Angeles Valiant. They're proving that they're not a team to be just swept to the side. They are consistent against everybody, and its showing. This could be the go to team for Stage 3 if they can keep things together.

Here is the break down for Stage 3 Week 1.

Thats been it for Week 1.

Now for some news.

News

OWL is changing the format for their playoffs. Instead of the top 3 teams, it is now the top 4 teams, with the first seed given the option of who they want to face off against. No more bi's for the first seed any more. The winner of that match faces off against the winner of the second match in the grand finals. I think its going to put a little more action on Sunday and hey, more Overwatch League is a good thing right?

Second bit of news is kind of surprising.

As of today, Boston Uprising player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez has been officially terminated from his contract on allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor. Two girls have come forward so far accusing DreamKazper of coercing them into sending him nude pictures of them self. The girls in question are 14 and 16 years of age, DK is 21. The 14 year old (name with held by me) was the first to come out against him, and has a mound of evidence and eye witness accounts supporting her claim. Nothing so far about any legal pursuit, but I would imagine its coming as this is very serious.

As a Boston Uprising fan, and as a fan of DreamKazper, I am very disappointed. This is very serious, and could spell jail time for him if legal action is taken. It makes me very angry to see these young people just throwing away a good thing for nothing and I am glad the league and the team took swift action against this sort of thing.

If stuff like this continues, I do not see this league lasting very long as sponsors will not tolerate this sort of behavior. Between xQc, OGE, Tiamou, and now this. Future sponsors will be very hesitant to make any deals with the league and that could be the end of this endeavor. As a fan, I hope it doesn't come to this. But for right now, lets just look forward to more great matches.

Thats all for now. This has been James with Game Fix. Game on everybody!
