Wow... What a week. Dreams were crushed and dreams were made. Boston, after having an amazing set against Philly, failed to beat Houston (in, IMO the best set of high level Overwatch we have seen) too secure their playoff spot. After having a rough start, Dallas managed to win a game in a dominate fashion. If they played this like all of Stage 1. The playoffs would have been very very different. Seoul was the favorites to win the whole thing, after having a dominate few weeks, but also failed to capture a playoff spot.
Lets look at the results.
Day 1 – Shanghai Dragons vs. Dallas Fuel
Day 1 – San Francisco Shock vs. Los Angeles Gladiators
Day 1 -Los Angeles Valiant vs. Seoul Dynasty

Day 2 – London Spitfire vs. Houston Outlaws

In the news
It has been confirmed that there is going to be new teams add for Stage 2. No names have been announced thus far, but it is rumored that its going to be from the US and "international". No team names or locations have been tossed around yet, but there was supposed to be Cleveland team added before stage one making them the 13th team. Blizzard didn't want to go into the Season with uneven teams, so delayed them. Could this be the US team?
And finally, if you haven't already read it from the top. London Spitfire has won Stage 1! I feel we are going to see a lot of shake ups for Stage 2. Lets hope iddqd gets some play time for San Fran.
