I agree it's a weird headline, well this Assassin's Creed news is on the weird side, but good I promise you. Ubisoft announced today that they will not be releasing a new AC title in 2019 like they have since 2007. Instead they will be releasing more content for the 2018 release of Assassin's Creed Odyssey to keep players hooked.
At Gamescom today Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, and I'm paraphrasing, that more content is coming for next year on a regular basis and you will play on Odyssey for a couple of years. Do we agree the "a couple of years" is 2? I think so. Either way it seems they really believe in AC Odyssey and feel it has longevity.

As you can see it is set in Ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War with battles both in the sea and on land. Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be available on October 5, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
