After months of speculation, we finally got our direct, and what a great one it was. So lets get to the break down!

Super Mario Maker 2 is coming this June. They have added a lot of new building features to the game judging by the announcement trailer. They also added a new style based on Super Mario 3D Land. The first Mario Maker game featured Mario in construction gear, this one features both Mario and Luigi. Maybe a 2 player mode?

Also announced was a new action JRPG from Tokyo RPG Factory, creators of I Am Setsuna and Lost Spear.  The new game, Oninaki, focuses on isometric combat and the ability to acquire and equip souls to change your characters abilities.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses seems like its going to be a massive game, featuring well 3 different houses to pledge your loyalty too. Mix that with some Hogwarts and the typical Fire Emblem combat system, and you got one massive entree into the Fire Emblem series. I personally cannot wait for this title. My wait is going to have to be a little long though. Nintendo just announced that its being pushed back to July. But it is coming this year!

Nintendo is jumping on the Battle Royal hype train with a new game called Tetris 99

Wait what? No, you didn't read that wrong. It is 1 vs 99 in this all new Tetris game. Will you be the last one stacking? Did I mention that its out right now? Did I also leave out that its completely free to play? Go and download it right now.

They then spoke briefly about the version 3.0 update to Smash Bros. They basically said that its coming out. Titled "The Spring update" zero details were announced, but did announce that Joker, the first DLC character pack fighter, will be out before the end of April.

A couple of Final Fantasy games are being released along with a spin off title.

Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 20th. I personally have never played these games, but I hear they are very good. Nintendo just uploaded a gameplay video so you can see the game in action.

Not to be out done, Final Fantasy 7 got announced for the Switch also. Coming March 26th. Now this isn't the remake, this appears to be the Steam version of the game. The same version that was also released on the PS4 a few years ago.

To build the hype for FF7, they also announced that Final Fantasy 9 is not only making its way to the Switch, but is releasing today. I have never played 9, so I know what I am going to be doing tonight.

One of the beloved RPG series of the modern area is getting a release on the Nintendo Switch.

Rune Factory 5 is coming to the Switch some time in the future, but to tide us over, a special edition of Rune Factory 4 is being released on the Switch some time this year.

Added into the Switch release is a marriage system along with being able to experience the newlywed life. Nothing is known about this new addition at this time.

We are getting a new game from the creators of Bayonetta and Nier Automata.

Astral Chain is an action game where you will be fighting along side a special living weapon called a "Legion" that has multiple combat styles that is chained to you. You can either stay back and support it, or you can both tag together to do damage.

Not much else is known about this game, but it is releasing August 30th.

I am going to get to the main event now, which I am very very excited about.

The Game Boy classic, Link's Awakening is getting a full remake for the Nintendo Switch. This games been rumored for years now, and was originally supposed to be on the 3DS console, but is now just taking it main event.

Its art style is very much in line with Link Between Worlds. 3D characters in a 2D field. Arriving some time in 2019. I cannot wait.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes Of An Elusive Age: Definitive Edition (man what a mouth full) is hitting the Nintendo Switch this fall. Featuring both and English and Japanese audio option, new story lines, and it even comes with the ability to play in 16-bit mode. This is basically the version that the 3DS got in Japan. Nintendo did promise that there will be more information in the future.

We also got a bunch of tentative release dates.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order (Summer), Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (Summer), Dragon Quest Builders 2 (July 12), Dead By Daylight (Fall), Deltarune (February 28), GRID Autosport (Summer), Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice(Spring), Mortal Kombat 11 (April 23), Unravel two (March 22), and Assassin’s Creed III Remastered (May 21).

There was a lot to cover in this direct. I just highlight the ones that made me excited. If you want to watch the whole direct I will link it below.
